8-31-20  THOUGHTS

Our living of life is often referred to as a war or a battle in God’s word.  One of the best examples of that is in Ephesians 6.  
Thoughts in my mind make me wonder if NOW is our time to be getting ready for a war we have never seen in our times?   Surely we see the possibility for violence at a level we never thought possible a few years ago.  More than that, on a SPIRITUAL LEVEL, our world increasingly seems to reject the God of all creation!  We must be sure that WE KNOW WHO WE ARE!  
1Cor 9:26-27    Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air;  27  but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.
Eph 6:10-18    Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11  Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13  Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. 14  Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, 15  and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE;  16  in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17  And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18  With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,

Verse 18 is something I can do... NOW and ALWAYS!  I’m suggesting that this time of isolation is a time for PREPARATION.  Pray God that times don’t get worse.  YOU NEVER PREPARE IN VAIN!  “GREATER STRENGTH AND A CLOSER WALK WITH GOD” IS ALWAYS DESIRABLE!   LIFE IS BETTER!

Rev 12:11    "And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.
1John 4:4    Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
John 12:31    "Now judgment is upon this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.
Don’t ever forget that THE VICTORY HAS ALREADY BEEN WON!

My Prayer:
Oh Father make us strong in a day of storm clouds.  Help us to absorb all the blessings you have made available to us to sustain us in this world.  Shelter us, Oh God, our rock.  Keep us from slumber and apathy, renew our desire for your words.  Revive our spirits Oh Lord.  Make us keenly aware of your presence at all times.       In Jesus precious name             Amen
